In the world of glassblowing, a craft long dominated by tradition and physical intensity, women have historically faced barriers—from the heavy labor of furnaces to exclusion from workshops in places like Murano, with fraternal gatekeeping. Yet, over the past few decades, they’ve shattered those limitations, bringing fresh perspectives, innovative techniques, and breathtaking artistry to the medium. Today, female glassblowers are not just participants but leaders, transforming molten glass into functional art that captivates with color, form, and precision.

At Tako Glass, we celebrate this evolution by curating exceptional hand-blown pieces from talented creators across the country. Many of the artists we feature are women whose work stands out for its creativity, durability, and unique voice—blending technical mastery with bold, personal expression. We are excited to spotlight some of the remarkable female creators we collaborate with, showcasing how they’re pushing the boundaries of glassblowing while delivering pieces that elevate everyday use into something truly special.

Beezy Glass

We would be remiss if we did not start with our own Beezy Glass. Working right here at Tako HQ alongside her husband Tako, Beezy makes unmistakable pieces that really show off her unique style and talent. Perhaps best known for her sculptural work, Beezy often adds hand sculpted frogs to her pipes, marbles, and pendants. Sometimes paired with mushrooms, and always accompanied by rich colors and lots of sparkle, these pieces are fan favorites, and we can hardly keep them in stock! Looking back at you with detailed millie eyes, these little additions make each piece super unique. Another overwhelmingly popular design has been her Slime Drip Spoon pipes. These pipes have realistic drips of solid glass running down the bowl, and she manages to make each one still appear like liquid, even after they cool down and leave the kiln! We list fresh drops from Beezy almost every day, so if you want to add a piece to your collection, we recommend shopping her section on the website, as well as keeping an eye on the New Arrivals, because her pieces often sell within minutes or hours of being listed! If you’re lucky, you might even catch her going live and blowing glass on stream! Follow her on Instagram to tune in: @beezyglass

Glass Berry Cupcake

Another fan favorite here at Tako Glass is Glass Berry Cupcake. Gloria, the artist behind Glass Berry Cupcake, is known for creating colorful, heady functional glass pieces that blend craftsmanship with playful visual depth. Her work often features inside-out color techniques, detailed marbles and millies, and shimmering accents like fume and dichroic glass, all encased in clear forms that give the pieces a layered, almost glowing look. Each piece is both functional and artistic, reflecting a whimsical, candy-like aesthetic while showcasing advanced glassworking skill and attention to detail. Gloria creates pieces that feel great in the hand, and showcase a rainbow of colors and techniques (so many different methods and forms go into each piece of her work that we struggle to tag them all when listing her glass!) We do our best to keep a full line of options available from GBC, from dry hammers, to sidecar bubblers, and even the occasional bong. Check out our complete selection of Gloria’s glass here. To stay up to date on fresh drops, make sure you’re subscribed to our newsletter, and follow Glass Berry Cupcake on Instagram!

Chillery Bogart

Another prolific featured artist on Tako Glass is Chillery Bogart. Chillery makes all sorts of functional glass pieces, as well as sculptural art, and wearables, such as disc flip pendants. One of the most popular styles here at Tako Glass has been her chillums, which really capture the feminine essence. With bowls that are sculpted to resemble traditional hearts, or even female genitalia, her chillums feature several marias, to keep heat away from your fingers, and provide a solid grip. We’re expecting a fresh drop from Chillery before Valentine’s Day, and if last year was any indication, her pieces won’t last long as they make popular Valentines gifts. Check out her section on Tako Glass, and keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of her next drop. If you need to add a feminine touch to your glass collection, a Chillery piece would be a perfect addition! Follow her on Instagram to keep up with her emerging designs!
