Last month Tako and Beezy headed off for the Quimper Peninsula to complete their new yearly tradition of blowing soft glass at Port Townsend Glassworks, run by Patrick Forrestal. Patrick founded Port Townsend Glassworks in 2020, bringing knowledge gained at the Pilchuck Glass School to greater Peninsula area. They offer various services, like public glass blowing demos, memorial glass pieces, as well as private glass blowing lessons. Despite decades of glassblowing experience between them both, for Tako and Beezy, soft glass is still a new experience, so they set out to try something new again this year!
It is also a great chance for them to enjoy a night out together, without the kids! This annual ‘date night’ has become something they were both looking forward to, and this year they doubled up, bringing Tako and Beezy’s Aunt and Uncle along as well!
