At Tako Glass, photography is a huge part of what we do. Every day, we capture hundreds of photo, totalling thousands every week, to make sure that our customers know exactly what they’re buying! Each new pipe or bong we list includes 15+ high-quality images and a short video, showing every piece from multiple angles and in different lighting conditions.
This dedication to professional glass photography ensures you can shop confidently, knowing you’re getting the best representation of our handcrafted glass pipes and bongs. It’s part of what makes Tako Glass stand out in the world of functional art glass.
From Our Studio to Your Hands: Where Does Tako Glass Go?
We love documenting our glass in the studio here at Tako HQ — we even post videos of orders as we pack them up to get sent out. (Follow us on Instagram and you might even catch your shipment going out!).
But once a piece leaves our hands, it goes out into the world—across the United States and even internationally—directly into the hands of our fans and customers. Once it has left us though, we often wonder where did that piece end up? Is it being used and loved every day? Does it live on a shelf, being proudly displayed? We want to know: How do you enjoy your Tako Glass in the wild?
Introducing the Tako Glass Lifestyle Photo Contest!
We’re excited to launch the Tako in the Wild: Lifestyle Photo Contest! This is your chance to show us how and where you use your original Tako glass pipes and bongs in real life.
Whether it’s out in nature, during a cozy home session, or capturing a creative smoke trick, we want to see Tako glass in action. Share your favorite session spots, your artistic setups, and the unique ways you enjoy, store, and use your handcrafted Tako pipes, bongs, or rigs.
Grab your favorite Tako made piece, be it a classic Purple Nebula spoon, or the mysterious Purple Ghost chillum, or maybe a sought after fumed Hash Hammer – Truly any Tako made piece will qualify! Have a great before and after shot of a color changer that filled in nicely? Send it our way!
Participants have the chance to be featured on our website, social media, and marketing materials, and your photos might inspire other fans of functional art glass around the world. If you want credit, be sure to include your desired display name, and social links. If you wish to remain anonymous, just submit via email or DM and let us know. You can still win, we just won’t publish your details!

How to Enter: Submission Guidelines
- Eligibility: Must be of legal smoking age in your location.
- Content: Photos must feature authentic glass pieces by Tako in use or as part of a creative lifestyle shot. Other glass may be present, but the focus should be on your favorite Tako pipe, bong, or rig.
- Submission: Email your entry to info@takoglass.com and include your desired display name and any social links you want included. You may also submit an entry by posting your image to Instagram and tagging @TakoGlass along with the hashtag #TakoChallenge, or DM us and link it directly there if you wish to make an anonymous submission.
- Photo Ownership: By submitting, you grant Tako Glass a non-exclusive license to use your photo for promotional purposes, including social media, website, and advertising.
- Originality: Only original photos you have taken will be considered. Stock or stolen images will be disqualified.
Tips for a Winning Submission
Tell a story through your photo: make it fun, artistic, or inspiring.
Show your session setup in an outdoor or lifestyle environment.
Use natural light or creative lighting to highlight your piece.
