Purple Nebula Pipe

This is the glass pipe that started it all. Tako’s original Purple Nebula frit spoon is made from thick and packed with the deep, fuzzy purple clouds that became one of his signature looks.
A heat-resistant glass formulation containing boron oxide, widely used for lampworked art, functional glass, laboratory equipment, and other applications requiring strong thermal resistance.
The Purple Nebula color runs from rich royal purple into blue-purple and plenty of shades in between, giving the pipe a ton of depth before it even starts coloring in. As the piece is used, the colors continue to develop, bringing out brighter purples and electric blues that make the pattern look even more dramatic over time.
The work gives the glass extra texture and dimension, while the classic spoon shape keeps the piece straightforward and comfortable to use. Every angle catches the Purple Nebula pattern a little differently, especially when you take it out into natural light and let those colors really show off.
Small crushed or granulated pieces of glass fused onto or into hot glass to create color, texture, patterns, or layered effects.
This is a single, one-of-a-kind Purple Nebula spoon pipe with the classic look that helped define Tako’s style: thick glass, deep color, and a pattern that gets even better the more you use it.
