Olympic Peninsula Fungi Festival

The whole Tako Glass family just attended the 3rd annual Olympic Peninsula Fungi Festival and we had a great time. We packed up a bunch of our glass and were able to vend in a vendor booth. Myself (Tako), Beezy, and our two children were there Saturday and Sunday.

The Olympic Peninsula Fungi Festival cultivates discovery, connection, and community. The festival increases access to experiential learning about an array of mycology topics, and brings people together in one of the most renowned ecosystems for fungi on Earth.
The festival featured lectures, hands-on workshops, guided forays, mushroom cuisine, and more from internationally acclaimed experts, both local and from across the U.S. Live music, a vendors’ market, and camping.
It was so much fun talking to everyone and showing off our cool glass pipes to the

community. It was basically 2 days of playing while we worked. Our staff also attended and were vending at the event, so it made it even more fun to have friends close by. Kat from Broccographics who handles our graphic design had a booth. She makes adorable mushroom prints and stickers.
We have a ton of mushroom themed glass so it was a no brainer to attend. While I slanged glass, my boys got to go participate in the kids zone that had lots of mushroom art crafts, microscopes to look at fungi, faceprinting, and pictures. The event was really family friendly. We are already looking forward to next year.

I want to thank the organizers and all the volunteers who made the OP Fungi Fest happen!
Thanks, Tako
